Kayaking on Brown's Lake, September 2004

One gorgeous sunny day in September, Lynde and I took our kayaks over to Brown's Lake. Lynde put Simon on the cargo cover behind her, and we headed off across the lake. We paddled through the lilly pads into the northeast arm, just to see what was there.

That's Ovando Mountain on the far left, partly out of the picture. Lake Mountain is the pointy one in the middle. To the right, the pointy one is Mineral Mountain, then Echo Mountain, and Iron Mountain.

Simon didn't particularly like the tippy boat and the bouncy cover he was sitting on, so he took several swims. He loves the water, although sometimes he gets himself a bit tired, such as when he was struggling through the lilly pads.
