After messing up my back and cancelling a long awaited and long anticipated trip in the Bob, I decided to heck with it. My back was "good-enough" to go, and we had a weather window. We went. Woohoo!
Whoah! Winter arrived a bit early, with the temperature dropping to -20F and snow piling up steadily. Who knows how long it would be until the river froze over, and there is good skiing to be had on the other side. We needed a bridge or two...
